Bogota, Colombia, July 19, 2021 – Canadian-based ContactPoint 360, the Global Contact Center Operator and Customer Experience Management company, has purchased hundreds of doses of the COVID 19 CoronaVac produced by Sinovac Biotech for its Colombian associates through a program established by the Colombian Government’s FIDUCOLDEX program coordinated by Colombian’s Foreign Trade Trust (Fiduciaria Colombiana de Comercio Exterior).
Through this Foreign Trade Trust, the Colombian Government now allows private companies to purchase the CoronaVac vaccine produced by Sinovac Biotech for their employees. It administers the vaccinations at local health clinics that are a part of Colombia’s EPS public health system.
“Through the entire pandemic, the safety of our associates has been our primary concern. So, in April 2020, long before the availability of a vaccine, we established a secure work from home program moving over 1,000 associates to home-based assignments. As soon as the Sinovac vaccine became available through this program with the Colombian Government, we acted immediately and moved swiftly to secure vaccinations for our people”, said Asad Mirza, Founder and CEO of ContactPoint 360.
Based on the location of CP360’s Colombian locations, the company’s employees will be assigned EPS health clinics where they can go to receive both doses of the vaccine from local health professionals according to the appropriate timetable between the first and second shots.
Over the last few months, Colombia has made vaccines available to the general public based on age groups and those who are particularly vulnerable due to pre-existing health conditions.
